Easy utilization through the most common planning software databases

Easy utilization of Uponor product BIM data through the most common planning software databases

GF Building Flow Solutions now offers BIM data from the Uponor product portfolio in most common databases such as Magicad, Linear, Trimble or Cype. Project partners have access to the digital planning data in ten software platforms and databases – and thus have the opportunity to design, construct, and manage their projects in a highly efficient, secure, and risk-minimized manner with computer support and integration.
“The integration of our digital product data sets into the most common software platforms is a milestone in our service offering for our customers,” explains Charlotta Persfell, Chief Marketing Officer, GF Building Flow Solutions. “We are offering our partners quick and easy access to our product data so that the planner can draft and manage the project designs even more precisely for ongoing HVAC projects.
Oriented towards customer needs
After an intensive analysis of market requirements by a transnational project team, various platforms and databases were identified as key for planning and design purposes. Today, Uponor product BIM datasets are available in the following libraries: Magicad, Linear, Solar Computer, Trimble Nova, Cype, MC-4, Sankom (Audytor), HSE Desktop, HSE Desktop Lite, TechCon and HIU-CAD (Kamo-CAD). “Our customers can access the data sets directly in the software,” says Charlotta Persfell, ”the Uponor product portfolio is directly embedded in software market licenses and is continuously being expanded. We give our partners access to our BIM data regardless of which software platform they work on, providing even better support in the design, execution, and management of construction projects.”

Using BIM data: benefits across the entire project cycle
The added value of using BIM (Building Information Modeling) extends across the entire planning process and results in improved competitiveness, error and defect avoidance, and cost reduction. In the planning phase, the virtual model can be used to identify and eliminate planning errors at an early stage. This ensures time savings, budget security and, above all, customer satisfaction. Standardized data records ensure fewer interface losses and a seamless exchange of information. More precise planning leads to more accurate scheduling and schedule reliability. “With our comprehensive BIM data offering, we enable all our specialists easy access, regardless of the market and therefore the platform commonly used there“, says Charlotta Persfell.

Uponor achieves milestone with Virsbo, Sweden

Uponor, a leading global provider of sustainable and innovative flow solutions and part of GF (Georg Fischer), announces that a second manufacturing facility in Sweden has reached full carbon neutrality in its own operations – the company’s latest achievement in environmental sustainability.

In line with the GF Sustainability Framework 2025 and Uponor’s target to significantly reduce our greenhouse gas emissions, the Swedish manufacturing facility in Virsbo embodies the company's innovative ‘Carbon Neutral Factory’ concept. This initiative, following the pioneering success of Uponor’s first carbon-neutral factory in Nastola (Finland), demonstrates the company’s proactive efforts to decrease not only its own climate impacts but also the carbon footprint of its customers and partners.
