TOP 100 Award: Ranga Yogeshwar honors Uponor for innovation achievements

Honorable recognition at the German SME Summit: Ranga Yogeshwar congratulated Uponor GmbH from Haßfurt, since November 2023 part of the Swiss industrial company Georg Fischer AG (GF), on its TOP 100 Award. The award ceremony took place on Friday, 28 June, in Weimar for all companies who received the TOP 100 seal at the beginning of the year. The science journalist accompanied the innovation competition (organized for the 31st time) as a mentor. Uponor convinced in the scientific selection procedure especially in the size class C in the category “Innovative Processes and Organization”. The company has been awarded for the second time with the Top Innovators seal.
 
388 companies applied for the current award. 287 of them received the TOP 100 seal 2024 at the beginning of the year. Ranga Yogeshwar congratulated the companies personally at the German SME Summit. Impressed by the innovative spirit of the companies, he said: “The Top Innovators want to shape the future and not preserve the past. They set off into the new with vigor.” Innovation researcher Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke, Scientific Director of TOP 100, has a similar view: “Only those who develop with foresight in the face of change can be successful in the long term”, he says. “The innovative capability is maybe one of the most important characteristics of companies in this century.
