Renovation
Upon analysing various renovation technologies it was resolved to repair the collector with the use of VipLiner polyethylene modules PE100 RC with increased resistance to propagation of cracks, point pressure and result of scratching, Blejkan, the contractor of the project, applied the static cracking method, which concerned the crushing of the old collector with the use of the head connected by steel bolted poles with the hydraulic drive hoist and parallel insertion of VipLiner modules after the head. This method allowed to improve the hydraulic parameters of the sewage network. Uponor Infra delivered for this investment VipLiner modules of 0.5 m length and diameter respectively higher than the renovated section (dn355 and 450mm).
The works were carried out in winter at the turn of 2013/2014. The renovation included 8 sections and the longest section between the manholes was 60 m. The contractor commended the easy and simple nature of installation of the modules and the speed of works using VipLiner modules (the average renovation time of a section was approx. 3 days).
