Water preparation products

Ground water preparation products are designed to prepare the groundwater to meet the quality standards of potable water. Groundwater has historically been of good quality but often contains substances such as iron and manganese. Treatment such as aeration, alkalinisation and possibly disinfection is usually carried out.

Raw water intake is customized solution to harvest raw water from lakes at a desired point and depth and transport the water to the surface water work for treatment.

One of the most common methods for removing iron and manganese from the water is through aeration and then filtration, and diligent backwashing. Iron and manganese create discoloration and bad taste of the water and can also cause clogging of small dimension valves etc.

Aeration reduces carbonic acid and the pH value increases as well as the levels of many unwanted substances in the water (excluding PFAS, pesticides etc.)

Low alkalinity can increase corrosion in the network, by iron being dissolved from the network's material. The higher the alkalinity, the more oxygen is needed to change the pH and the lower the alkalinity, the easier the water's pH value changes. Drinking water pH range is normally specified to 7,5-9,0.
