The children and adults of our generation exercise tragically little, both in and outside institutional forms, they are in poor physical and medical status, there are a lot of aggressive, addicted, wasted children, teenagers and adults. The positive impact of sports influence not only the body, but the soul and spirit also, the systematic exercise induce several, almost immediately perceptible changes of the body, and when it becomes an organic part of our lives, it has an apparently preventive effect. Since the systematically exercising child or adult is in a better physical and medical status, their performance at school or at work improves, and they become part of a positive community, which keeps them away from addictions (drugs, smoking, alcohol), works off the accumulating stress, aggression in a beneficial way, and they become more balanced both spiritually and intellectually, they live their life in a more conscious way. There are not too many things, which are as advancing as sports.

Realization

The construction started in 2008, when the sports building of the school was built.Already during the design phase, a close cooperation started between the design company and Uponor Kft., thus Uponor sports ﬂoor underfloor heating was included with joint effort. Uponor Kft. supported the contractor with continuous on-site counselling.Uponor sports ﬂoor underfloor heating is a flexible solution for sports floors. These floors consist of an elastic PVC layer attached to a wooden layer. Heating tube registers are fixed in a patented Uponor rocking fixture directly under the flexible floor layer. The tubes are connected to a Tichelmann type manifold. Uponor sports ﬂoor underfloor heating can be installed quickly, mainly due to the rugged Pe-Xa tubes, but also due to the patented technology of the installation of sports ﬂoors. In the 700 m2 floor, nearly 5000 meters of 25x2,3 mm Uponor Pe-Xa tubes were installed. The sports ﬂoor underfloor heating provides excellent temperature comfort, and uniform temperature distribution without air movement. Due to the operation with low temperature heating medium, it is saving energy.

The Vierimaantie road, located close to the town centre of Ylivieska, Finland has a concrete sewer line constructed in the 1960s and 1970s. A decision was taken to renovate this sewer using a tailored solution, and the product developed for this purpose is now also available to other customers.

Old water intake plant upgraded to modern version

The Hietasärkä water intake plant is part of the Suomussalmi water supply system, the task of which is to ensure the sufficiency of clean drinking water for the needs of municipal residents. Corrosion damage to the water supply network was previously prevented with lye, but due to safety risks, it was replaced by a chemical-free method. At the same time, an extensive overall renovation was carried out at the water intake plant.

Brønderslev implements new treatment methods

To ensure water quality in nature, Brønderslev Utility is now intensifying its efforts to safely treat rainwater. Uponor Infra is supplying specially designed treatment chambers to treat rainwater from a 20-hectare area before it is discharged into a stormwater basin.

Fighting against an ecological disaster in a world-record time

Rapid action was critical when a sewage collector broke in Warsaw, Poland, causing a massive waste spill into the Vistula River. Uponor Infra’s crew worked 24 hours a day in order to stop the pollution of the river. A temporary pipeline was produced, delivered and connected in just eight days.

Unique design ensures controlled stormwater drainage

In Slagelse Municipality, there are requirements for the drainage of rainwater and wastewater to be separated, and therefore it was important that the wastewater solution on the street, Nordre Ringgade, was also updated in accordance with current legislation. Clean drinking water for 17,000 scouts

Roihu 2016 – the 7th International Finnjamboree organised by Suomen Partiolaiset - Finlands Scouter ry, was held at the Evo campsite in Hämeenlinna on 20–28 July 2016. A camp for 17,100 people was built in a forest area owned by Metsähallitus. Some 3,000 participants arrived from abroad – from about 40 different countries.
