Considering the constant, successive development of Rzeszów –Jasionka, one cannot ignored new heavy investments such as a new administrative - technical base, petrol station and - above all – the refurbished and extended runway (3200 meter long and 45 meter wide), the second apron, as well as, taxiway. The most awaited investment in the Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport was the construction of a new passenger terminal building. After 15 months of construction, on 8 May 2012, the passenger service was moved to the new passenger terminal, which significantly changed the image of the Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport. One building combined departures and arrivals, which were supported by technical and commercial infrastructure. The New Terminal Building has three floors above ground and one underground.
The capacity of the new terminal is 720 passengers per hour. Ultimately, it may reach the level of 1 400 passengers per hour. This allows achieving the maximum annual throughput of 1.8 million passengers.
As the furthest located eastwards Polish communication airport, Rzeszów Jasionka Airport has the chance to develop further and open the door onto the world for our region.
New Terminal Building has been equipped with Uponor underfloor heating installation in the main hall. There was applied Uponor Classic system that ensure precise pipe spacing and as a consequence stable mounting to the ground. This is ideal system for large areas, where above-average overloads are expected. Installations based on PE-Xa pipe ensure thermal comfort up to 2 meters over floor space and low operating costs.

The ski slopes of Levi attract thousands of tourists every year. Water consumption varies greatly, which is why the water intake plant in Kirakka in Levi was renovated to meet the consumption peaks during peak seasons. As part of the project, Uponor delivered two huge reservoir tanks to ensure sufficient supply of clean water in the area.

Uponor Flowise lösningar för Levi i Finlands turistmecka

Tailored renovation solution
The Vierimaantie road, located close to the town centre of Ylivieska, Finland has a concrete sewer line constructed in the 1960s and 1970s. A decision was taken to renovate this sewer using a tailored solution, and the product developed for this purpose is now also available to other customers.
Old water intake plant upgraded to modern version
The Hietasärkä water intake plant is part of the Suomussalmi water supply system, the task of which is to ensure the sufficiency of clean drinking water for the needs of municipal residents. Corrosion damage to the water supply network was previously prevented with lye, but due to safety risks, it was replaced by a chemical-free method. At the same time, an extensive overall renovation was carried out at the water intake plant.
Brønderslev implements new treatment methods
To ensure water quality in nature, Brønderslev Utility is now intensifying its efforts to safely treat rainwater. Uponor Infra is supplying specially designed treatment chambers to treat rainwater from a 20-hectare area before it is discharged into a stormwater basin.
Espoo's Itäranta is being renovated sustainably
HSY (Helsinki Region Environmental Services HSY) is testing a new kind of area renovation operating model in Itäranta, Espoo, where the aim is to get the area's water supply network in order once and for all. New steps are also being taken towards more sustainable construction: the selected Uponor Blue pipes utilising renewable raw materials will reduce the carbon footprint of pipeline installations by 70% compared to traditional plastic pipes.

A smart retention system for an anti-flooding solution
September 2018 saw the launch of the project for a stormwater drainage system in Rzeszów, almost 26 kilometres long, in the residential District of Budziwój, which partially coincides with the floodplain of the River Wisłok. One of the elements of this system is the retention canal. The project, scheduled for delivery by May 2020, will help to finally solve flooding problems which have been plaguing the residents of this region of Poland.
Fighting against an ecological disaster in a world-record time
Rapid action was critical when a sewage collector broke in Warsaw, Poland, causing a massive waste spill into the Vistula River. Uponor Infra’s crew worked 24 hours a day in order to stop the pollution of the river. A temporary pipeline was produced, delivered and connected in just eight days.
Unique design ensures controlled stormwater drainage
In Slagelse Municipality, there are requirements for the drainage of rainwater and wastewater to be separated, and therefore it was important that the wastewater solution on the street, Nordre Ringgade, was also updated in accordance with current legislation. The client has received an approved solution where the wastewater from the commercial property in no. 59 has been separated from the rainwater. The rainwater is now diverted directly from the 2,500 m2 car park.

Clean drinking water for 17,000 scouts
Roihu 2016 – the 7th International Finnjamboree organised by Suomen Partiolaiset - Finlands Scouter ry, was held at the Evo campsite in Hämeenlinna on 20–28 July 2016. A camp for 17,100 people was built in a forest area owned by Metsähallitus. Some 3,000 participants arrived from abroad – from about 40 different countries. Uponor delivered 7,600 metres of pipes to the area. The pipes were used to supply clean water and to lead grey water away from the area in a controlled manner.
New Uponor IQ –Storm water system - Sustainability and Quality in Road Infrastructure
In December 2011 Central Finland´s ELY –centre (The Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment) started significant road constructing project in Jyväskylä. The aim is to create a new route between highways 18, 9 and 4, which helps reduce traffic jams and smoothes commutation.
