Uponor Corporation's Board of Directors has today appointed M.Sc. (Bus.) Heiko
Folgmann, 39, head of the company's East European and international business
operations, as well as M.Sc. (Eng.), MBA Fernando Roses, 36, head of the
company's operations in southern and south-western Europe as members of the
company's Executive Committee. They both report to President and CEO Jan Lång.
The appointments are effective from today.
Heiko Folgmann, German citizen, has been acting as Vice President, Europe, East
and International within the Uponor - West, East, South region since September
2006. He joined Uponor in connection with the acquisition of Unicor Holding AG
in 1999.
Fernando Roses, Spanish citizen, has managed Uponor's housing solution
businesses as Vice President, Europe, South West, within the Uponor - West,
East, South region since September 2006. He joined Uponor in 1994, and has
mainly been responsible for the marketing and sales activities in Spain and
Portugal.
The importance of southern and western Europe as well as East Europe and new
international markets has increased over the past few years, and they offer
significant organic growth opportunities for Uponor in the future.
The appointments above will not result in any other changes in the Uponor
organisation.
