An eco-friendly constructor and a bio-architect teamed up with Uponor Italy to create a balanced combination of new and old, East and West for the perfect indoor climate.
Uponor Italy accepted the challenge for the project of a sustainable house in Isola Vicentina, Italy. Built with natural materials such as wood and cork, the house was planned to comply with state of the art bio-architecture parameters, with an eye for energy saving and aiming to create the best comfort for the family that would live in it. Uponor Italy came up with a special solution for the integrated heating and cooling system of this project.
The project for this new house was definitely challenging especially since architect Giuseppe Maria Padoan planned the house following Feng Shui principles, an Asian philosophy based on the combination of natural elements and energy flows. Uponor was called in for the part of the project concerning indoor climate, and the technical team came up with a solution created specifically for this demanding project which included cork panels, that where biologically pure. The MLCP pipes were installed on tracks laid on the panels.
