Set in 185 acres of Hampshire countryside this Grade 2 listed country house has been given a modern make over, converting it from a derelict condition to a luxury hotel. The results are astonishing - old meets new in a unique mixture of country charm and 21st Century technology for five star country living. As part of the transformation, Uponor Ltd was chosen as the underfloor heating supplier for owner Pete Dale to install himself.

The oldest part of the house dates back to the 16th century and there were very strict controls on the methods and materials which could be used to carry out the renovation.

Pete had no previous experience in installing underfloor heating, and the idea that Groomes should offer spacious, discreetly heated rooms where the guests are as comfortable as possible lead to the natural choice of underfloor heating. Uponor Ltd supplied the project with manifold and MLC pipe (see reverse) and the required fixtures and fittings, together with all of the technical experience necessary to complete the project to an extremely high standard.
