Phyn Plus smart water assistant monitors water consumption in the rental cottage
Hawkhill, located next to Nuuksio National Park in Vihti, has been offering nature-friendly cottage holidays for almost 60 years. Weber Hill Villas

The Weber Hill Villas are comprised of 24 attached and detached single-family homes nestled along a quiet forest with lot sizes ranging from one-quarter to one acre. These LEED® and Energy Star® homes are ADA-compliant and built to withstand 250-mph, wind-blown debris. With a top-of-the-line design in mind, the team at Dale Hicks and Associates, LLC chose Uponor PEX piping systems for the plumbing and fire safety — a brand they have relied on for years.

“Uponor Construction Services designed the system, and we simply installed their design,” said Dale Hicks of Dale Hicks and Associates, LLC. “They have been of immeasurable service to us. I refer Uponor PEX to colleagues all the time.”

All 24 homes in the development feature Uponor AquaPEX® plumbing systems and AquaSAFE™ fire sprinkler systems with ProPEX® fittings in ½" to 1½" sizes. The multipurpose fire sprinkler systems seamlessly integrate into the home’s cold-water plumbing system, which increases the speed of installation and provides homeowners with greater peace of mind.

“Weber Hill Villas is just our latest development, and we will apply a lifetime of work, knowledge and innovation to make it truly world class,” explained Hicks.

Ensuring In-Home Safety with AquaSAFE™

Jesse Faust, a former Madison firefighter and EMT, sustained partial paralysis after a severe car accident in 2022. During the construction of his new home, Faust prioritized fire safety, and after seeing how commercial buildings benefit from sprinkler systems, he chose to incorporate a residential solution with Uponor AquaSAFE™ — a multipurpose PEX piping system that combined with his home’s AquaPEX® plumbing.

Underfloor heating and cooling for comfortable living in a summer cottage house

The new summer cottage house in Suolahti, Äänekoski, is using floor heating and cooling controlled by an Uponor Smatrix Pulse control system. The heat source will be a NIBE geothermal heat pump. Renovation of the district heating piping system of six housing companies

Six housing companies located in the Hurttivuori district in Turku have a joint heating plant – Nokikana Oy. The terraced houses, which were built between 1975 and 1977, contain a total of 104 flats. Heating and water are supplied to all flats by a joint heating plant. Renovating the piping system became a necessity due to leaks. The plant's insulated elements were renovated in such a way that all residents were able to live in their homes for the entire duration of the renovation.

A pilot project that still works like a dream

In one of the most beautiful parts of Budapest, at the bottom of the Sas hill, there is this 88 flat condominium called "D'or Appartements", which consists of 3 blocks. On the 1.23 acre property, there are three 5-story blocks of 32, 31 and 25 flats respectively. The biological treatment plant is worth its price

The Murto family, from Savonlinna, Finland, live in a sturdy log cabin built in 1845. The waste water system of the house had last been overhauled in the 1970s and the old concrete wells and absorption field had reached the end of their lifecycle. The choice was between renovating the old wells and getting an Uponor biological treatment plant, and the decision was not difficult to make.
