Weholite pipes are light and easy to install. They really come into their own in a project in the harbour of Auckland, the largest city in New Zealand – the extension of an old stormwater line using massivepipes with an internal diameter of 3–3.5 metres. In this busy harbour area, it is not possible to carry outlarge-scale excavation work. The soil of the region and strong tides pose their own challenges.

At the Krapkowice barrage, the lock and control room are being modernized and the outports are being reconstructed. Uponor Infra delivered Weholite DN2000 SN8 polyethylene pipes as well as manholes, segmented bends and special fittings for this construction.
 

In Zduńska Wola - Karsznice, one of the largest multimodal terminals in Poland is being built. The most important elements of the stormwater management system of this terminal will be a battery of two Uponor Infra retention tanks.

Construction of the S1 expressway on the Przybędza-Milówka section, known as the bypass of Węgierska Górka. Uponor Infra polyethylene tanks were selected for drainage of the road system.

The modernisation of the Warsaw West railway station is the largest construction project currently underway in the Polish capital.

The specificity of constructing a storm water system as part of railway projects is that it must be resistant to, among other things, dynamic loads from the passing trains. In the case of the station in Konin, an important element of the storm water system is the retention tanks

Use of polyethylene pipes in the construction of viaducts of the Generals’ Route not only helped to lighten their structures but also lowered project cost.

The decision to use plastic pipes to lighten the viaduct’s structure, was a pioneering one. 

As part of the project “Construction of the second roadway of the S3 expressway along the Sulechów – Nowa Sól section – the second and third section” Uponor Infra provided pipes, sewer manholes and detention tanks.  

In the non-Schengen terminal  in Helsinki-Vantaa airport is being built new standing place for the airplanes. In the concrete base was installed Uponor's snow melting system. The system is heated by district heating. The unique system has provided great experiences.

The alterations to Aleksanterinkatu – the main street in the City of Lahti – will be completed by the end of 2016. The aim of the City's development projects is to make the centre more suitable for pedestrians and public transport. Uponor's role in the project is to build a snow melting system and the related frame lines for Aleksanterinkatu's pavements and zebra crossings. What is special about this project is that it marks the first time that Uponor's new Ecoflex Thermo Single 125/250 pipes have been used in Finland.
