Family United in Effort to Support Infants, Toddlers, and Children
by Rick StockNot a day goes by that Rick Stock, Standards Manager at Uponor North America, and his wife, Kristen, daughter Ashley, and 23-year-old non-profit organizer Kaitlyn are not fundraising or distributing infant, toddler, and children’s clothing, toys, or supplies. It has become the center of their lives.
When Kaitlyn was in high school, she wanted to help infants and children by providing these essential items, so the family started purchasing them, storing them in their basement and distributing diapers and clothes from their garage.
What better way to spend my time than supporting the most vulnerable, and the most important people for our future.
Today, Kaitlyn is a licensed social worker with over 17,600 Facebook followers for Kaitlyn’s Kloset, where 100% of the fundraising dollars are spent on children and families in need. This fall, Kaitlyn’s Kloset moved into a space in Eagan, Minn., with more storage.
“I feel it’s so important to volunteer my time, because there is so much need in our community,” Rick says. “What better way to spend my time than supporting the most vulnerable and the most important people for our future.”
Kaitlyn’s Kloset is a certified 501 c(3) non-profit. If you’d like to volunteer, you can follow her at https://www.facebook.com/groups/KaitlynsKlosetMN. There is also a website with information and opportunities to share our time or resources https://sites.google.com/view/kaitlynskloset-mn/home.
Thank you, Stock family, for dedicating your time to children. It takes a village – and Kaitlyn’s Kloset – to raise a child.
