Uponor Achieves Gold Level Rating in EcoVadis Sustainability Assessment

Uponor has been awarded the Gold level rating by EcoVadis, a leading global sustainability rating platform. This prestigious recognition signifies the company’s unwavering commitment to sustainable practices, continuous improvement, and data-driven transparency. In 2022, Uponor held the Silver level rating, and this year's advancement to Gold places the company among the top 6% of the 5,000 companies in the plastic products manufacturing sector evaluated by EcoVadis globally.

This recognition goes beyond Uponor's self-assessment; it is based on a rigorous evaluation using comparable criteria across industries. It is a resounding affirmation that our organization is on the right track in steering our business towards a sustainable future." 

Uponor’s sustainability agenda, rooted in strategic planning, aims to maximize the positive impact on customers, employees, and society while minimizing the company's environmental footprint. Finalized in 2022, the agenda was meticulously crafted with input from customers, Uponor employees, and other key stakeholders. Through stakeholder engagement, three recurring themes emerged: climate action, circularity, and transparency. These themes are central to Uponor's new sustainability agenda, which outlines concrete, measurable targets to be achieved soon. 

EcoVadis serves as a collaborative platform providing sustainability ratings and performance improvement tools for global supply chains. The EcoVadis methodology framework comprehensively assesses companies' policies and actions, along with their published reporting on environmental, labor and human rights, ethical, and sustainable procurement practices. The methodology adheres to international sustainability standards established by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), and ISO 26000.
