PEX-a Freeze Test: Will it Burst Under Pressure?

Jeff Hughes from Rising Tide Plumbing in North Carolina wanted to put PEX-a piping to the test and see what would happen in freezing conditions under pressure. Using two 12-inch lengths of PEX-a connected with an elbow fitting, filled with water, and under standard house pressure, he started his experiment. After 10 hours in the freezer, he let the test thaw and reconnected it to the water line to see what would happen, and he found no leaks. Watch the video of his test to learn more!
