Jobsite Spotlight: Royalmount Shopping Centre in Québec, Canada

The Royalmount Shopping Centre is Canada's largest exclusive pedestrian-only, mixed-use mall designed and developed with sustainability, comfort, and safety in mind. Opened in September 2024, the luxury mall hosts 170 stores and restaurants and is the first LEED^® Gold-certified retail project in Canada that is also designed to be one of the few 100% carbon-neutral developments in the country. The snowy Québec winters require an effective method for snow and ice removal that minimizes labor time and costs while also addressing project demands, so the Royalmount team chose an Uponor Snowmelt System to meet the energy-efficient design requirements and solve the problem of snow and ice removal.
